FO: Nivernais

Very short post! Not much going on knit wise (haa). Lots of summer stuff; we live in an area with a lot of parks so we've been making the rounds. And of course on the hot and humid days we've been at the pool.

That's right, Nivernais is finished. I finished the actual knitting on Tuesday, but the finishing (there was a lot of it) took me two days-picking up and knitting armholes, and neckline. Plus, seaming and making i-cord ties.

Some in-progress pictures-top: working on straps. Bottom: seaming.

And now for the final product:

I am not in love with this top. It's too short for my liking, and too wide. I can wear a tank top underneath and be fine though. If the shortness continues to irritate me, I'll likely just knit a few more rows down from the bottom. But the thought of picking up all those stitches is just...ugh, So daunting.

But I'm happy to be finished it because now I can work on sweaters! Yay!

Using knitpicks Swish in Copper-I cast on for Aiken by Andi Satterlund.  I had to tink back twice, and frog once because I wasn't getting the hang of the lace pattern, but once I got past the first 10 rows, and got a feel for the pattern and how it's written, it got much smoother. I just wish I had more time to devote to knitting it. I'd like to be able to sit down for a couple of hours and bang out a few rows, but the only time I really get is after B is in bed, and then I'm too tired to focus on it.

Leaving for stitch&bitch shortly, so really shouldn't complain too much.
